    When I have the ac on and blowing from the vent there seems to be slight air flow still coming out the defrost vent causing the windshield to condensate on the outside. I've put a dish towel over the vent to block the air flow but what's the problem here? Vent not closing up top?

    Good ol Fl. humidity. same thing happens to my car when it is very humid out. The humidity in the outside air is condensing on the outside of the cold glass, just as it would on an ice drink.

    Doesn't seem normal that there should be any flow out the top when it's not on that setting. Its not the whole windshield. I can turn it down to 60 on full blast with a towel over it and not have an issue.

    maybe the vacuum actuators are not working to the fullest. or some linkage is cracked, its all plastic. pretty sure the pump on the pass side works the air flow, try moving the arm further one way or the other when its on vent to see if you can make it stop blowing out the defroster. dont push to hard or force it as it could break if not broken already. you can turn the car on, and then change the air flow and watch it move to get a idea of how it works, and what it moves.


    pic from this thread. http://www.grandprixforums.net/blend...ent-21941.html its how to change the blend door actuators, but it also shows the vacuum pumps for air flow. you go the same way to get to them as the actuators.


    its the round part in the lower right corner of the pic. the round part could be bad, or the linkage broke, or a vac line cracked maybe. the pass side you only have to take the glove box off, and look hard to the left to see this part, its close to the dash face.

    That happens on both my 98 and 2000.Its "normal" for our cars...just turn the wipers on mist once in a while, i do

    Check your heater core. Mine did the same thing and made my floors wet.

    This is just condensation on the outside of the windshield, not inside.I did have a truck do that to me before.Damn was that antifreeze hard to get off the window.Smeered everywhere with a microfiber,lol

    Diagnostic codes on the ac unit show 05 and 06, which are the LH actuator and RH actuator. What should I check on them and where are they located?

    you can open them up, sometimes the gears crack, most of the time the small motor dies.
