My 2002 GP GT has been sporadically making an odd noise. Anytime the car is above approx 75mph there is a humming almost like a metal resonance sound coming from the front end. It comes and goes, it's not steady and does seem dependent upon speed. Any ideas?

Possibly a belt idler or tensioner pulley? Had similar happen to me, and then one day on a local street I heard POW, CLANK, CLUNK, and felt someting hit the floorboards and I was like ? Pulled over and found the blower belt layen on top of the snout, and the idler pulley completely gone, and as JAmie on MYTHBUSTERS would say: "Well, theres your problem"!

If this were a pulley etc.. you'd hear it at each point that the engine reached that rpm. Mostly likely it's a hub bearing or a tire noise.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

That wheel hub was just replaced by a shop no more than 5 months ago.
