4 times my system has knocked my rear view mirror of my windshield an I have gotten the professional strength adhesive from the auto part store an my system still kills it. Any other ideas?

Turn it down? Mirror stays on and you save your hearing. Double bonus

get a lighter mirror? If its heavy it will make it difficult for any adhesive to hang on. I have some subs that pound and don't seem to have this problem

Take read through this thread if you haven't seen it. I'd really not want this to happen to another member here....

If you really want to try, might be a good idea to clean the glass really well where the button is glued on, then find a 2-part epoxy resin. Mix some up and glue the button back onto the glass. Give it some time to cure before you bump the system again, then reattach mirror and see what you get. About the only other thing that comes to mind to use would be black windshield urethane (the liquid kind, not the butyl strip), but I'm not sure how well that will hold the weight of the full mirror.

Serious question....what is the point of such high volume levels? I'm having a full system installed into my car replacing everything and a touch screen head unit and 2 amps. 1 250 watt sub amp and a 400 watt amp for the Two rear 6x9 and I think its still gonna be more than I want
Why do u like it so loud

I dont keep it blared constantly, once in awhile but once i get to a song that hits sooo hard, within a minute, that damn mirror falls right off. Will have to try this thanks.

I love bass, love the vibration of it. My car is pretty much maxed out. I cant out in more then what i already have. Yes it is extremely loud but its not always constantly blared but when it does, the mirror cant ever handle it. Now a days people are pushing more than me, twice as me an you would think that someone out there is familiar with this problem an found a solution.

I had a few guys in HS that had huge systems. Their solution- leave it of, lol... And yea, I decent a system for a while in my 84 Vic (2 12's, 2x2000 watt amps, etc..) back in my younger days. Hit nice for back in the day technology in such a huge car. Can't blame you. Just take it easy and save the "deafness" for when your wife is b*tching at you

I dont think i could ever get the courage to sell what i worked sooooo hard for. I mean i spent quite a bit with this guy over the last year an a half. Spent over 1200, thats with buying my first system from the guy then upgrading little by little an well, i hit my mark. Theres nothing left.
