Hey I was wondering how I would go about getting the mirror glass out of my 2000 gp. As you may know Im working on turn signal mirrors and need the glass seperated from the plastic. Curious how you did it without busting the glass up. Thanks in advance!

You have to turn it all the way towards the inside I believe then get you hand behind it and just a swift pull/nudge and it should pop out.

the regals have a few holes in the plastic, push the glass out via those holes, very carefully. GP should be the same way.

It has like 4 or 5 holes in the back but seems really stubborn. I really dont want to break it as I feel like I have spent enough money on this project already. lol.

its a bit scary wont lie, but like bill said steady even slow pressure and it should come out.

he did a whole how to for the turn signals, iirc he tapped the turn signal wires off the bcm. no relays added. find the how to, its pretty detailed. its for a regal, so you'll need the grand prix wire diagram to tap the right wires.

    Aha! Found it. http://www.grandprixforums.net/how-l...ors-39801.html

Took me a while. lol. I may use a heat gun to help get the silicone loose. Ive already got the wiring figured out and whatnot. Pretty much should be smooth sailing once I get the glass out.
