Hello guys. I'm about ready for my top swap but plan on having some head work done first. They'll undergo a P&P job, SS valves, new seals, new locks, modified retainers, roller rockers, and upgraded springs to match the other mods. Where the question comes in is, is it worth it to upgrade from stock size intake valves to a 1.9 valve? How much difference does it make? Is it just help HP, or does it kill any KR too (hoping)?

Please give me what you got.

    TIA,
    Slim

Yes sir. Thinking the Intense S1. Other mods are or will be headers (including d-pipe), N*, LQ4, CAI, P&P M90, S2 IC, P&P LIM. I think that is it. That's off the top of my head but I believe that's it. I know they all support each other but I wanted to know if the .1" is worth the money since the heads are out and going to the shop already for the P&P.Slim

Then Yeah I'm sure you'll see crazy numbers, but you'll probably need a really small pulley on the blower to really get the most out of it. If it's a full blown race car then go for it. DD car...thennnnn get ready to fill up a couple times a week If you can't behave lol. Lot of flow needs a lot of fuel. Someone will correct If I'm wrong or left anything out.

Best of luck with your build either way you go bud.

You won't gain much on that setup with bigger valves.

    2001 GTP Drag Car - XPZ, Tischler heads, Upsidedown M90 IC'd, e85, Gen V, 2.3 w/ 5%OD
    2005 F350 6.0 - studded, deleted, tuned
    2001 GTP - cam, headers, nitrous, stock trans - 11.83 @ 116 <$2k in mods - sold

See? Lol. Need to have something forcing more air through the engine yo make all of those mods worth the time and money. Smaller and smaller pullies or turbo.

I was going to start with a 3.0 pulley. Figured that'd be a good start. I'd tune until happy, drop/tune, and so on. It's not a race car but I like to have the power in reserve. It's like concealed carry. ;-)
mi doubt I'll be pushing it too hard but it will be something to occasionally whoop the rice burners on occasion.

GTPpower, what type of set ups are the larger valves for? I "guessed" any higher boost car would benefit. Again, I guessed though.

I just thought about this. Are you talking 15-20+lbs or closer to 10-13? I know I can only really drop to a 2.8 before I just start making hot air. At 5500" altitude I wonder what a 2.8 would net....hum?
