I just recently lost my hvac level controls. I have been down this road before but i must have a different problem this time. I have good vacuum lines all the way down to the control. I had a break in a vacuum line last year. I have checked the vacuum line that runs down through the firewall to the control. It holds a vacuum and when the engine is running its creating one. The fuse is also good. The control will still switch to the defrost so that why i now think its a servo (if thats what its called) at the point where it switches from floor to face.

    Thanks

I am having the same trouble as well. I have checked the heater blower, vacuum lines, & fuses. I replaced the blower resister today as well. I'm thinking about changing the heater controls but am not sure if that is the problem. I can change the air flow direction by turning the dial. At first I only had speed 5 on the blower working, now they all will come on some of the time and some times they won't. When the blower fails it also disables the rear defrost and the automatic headlights. If I don't have the manual headlights turned on they just flash on and off. Everyone seems to have the same answers for problems with the hvac but nothing is working....

I am working on changing the igition switch on my 97 gp gt. i am down to removing the switch but don't have a female torx bit that will fit the 2 screws holding it on. Does anyone know what size bit this is. I havn't found anything that will fit at any local auto parts stores.
