    Which brand plugs?

    Ever cleaned the MAF sensor?

What kind of driving do you do? Is it all city or a mixed of highway/city? What are you avg miles per tank?

Both city and highway, but I noticed that I am getting the same reading for both city and highway which is 16.9 which is odd, cause I was getting 22.1 on the highway and 17.9 in the city before.

Pop the hood with the car running, and see if you smell fuel. You might have a slight injector leak.

Also, pop the MAF out and clean it with MAF cleaner, could be causing you to run pig rich.

Mass Air Flow sensor. It measures the amount of air entering the engine, and helps the computer add the correct amount of fuel.

Only use MAF cleaner, anything else can destroy it.

Getting rid of those plugs won't do a thing for you.

Do you have any mods on the car?

Anything that is not factory....upgraded stuff for better performance. Like headers, better flowing exhaust, cold air intake, etc...

Is your service engine soon light on? Does the car run smooth when it's idling?

Are you doing the math to figure out your mileage or are you using the drivers information center?

Better check to see if you have any stored codes. Also note that sometimes things like an oxygen sensor could be working poorly yet not trigger a CEL. What are your driving habits like or did the high fuel consumption just start happening?

I'm having the same issue with my 99 GT. I am currenty using ALwires and AC Delco rapid fire plugs. My CEL comes on periodically and it says bank 1 system too lean. I'm lost of what that means :/ but its drinking gas like soda pop.

Byron, you need to search on that code. Search bar is top center of the forum page. Click on the magnifying glass.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
