Yeah, I've never seen the deflector problem get the driver's side wet. The deflector problem causes water to pour directly into the blower housing and it leaks out the housing on the inside effectively soaking the passenger side. Since it's your driver's side suffering, I'm sure the deflector is not the problem. Unfortunately, I'm afraid you may have some other problem and I'm not sure which direction to steer you in on this one to help you solve it.

Sounds like a windshield leak. I would pull your a-piller trim off and possibly the driver's sun visor so you can pull the headliner down just a little. You should be able to see the urethane adhesive that glues in the windshield by looking in between the glass and pinchweld from the inside. While keeping an eye on that, have someone run water on the top corner of the glass and watch for leaks all the way down that side.

Sounds like that is the problem and it is running down the a-piller and dripping down by the e-brake pedal. When you find it, you should be able to get a tube of automotive urethane at the parts store and seal it from the inside, then water test again and replace your trim.

I just discovered this exact problem in my car this morning. Drivers side is completely drenched. literally looks like someone poured a gallon of water under my floor mat and then put the mat on top. The mat wasnt wet on top and there was no wetness anywhere else that would help point towards a leak. It has been raining since yesterday afternoon. I was also driving for almost 2 hours yesterday in the rain and saw nothing to indicate a leak during my drive home. It also only wet in the very bottom of the floor board where the mat would lay, nothing on any of the "humps" coming up. Im lost on this one. Could definately use some advice.

I know that on mine the windshield was replaced by former owner and not sealed properly. I have to get my windshield re-sealed by a professional. If any of you can hear any wind noise while going fast with the windows rolled up all the way, there is a good chance that it is a bad seal somewhere along the windshield. Also as mentioned above it could be coming in through the sunroof if that seal leaks at all. There are water channels(one on each front corner on mine) that can get clogged. I checked that mine or OK as I dumped some water in each corner and made sure that it drained properly. I know mine is not visible unless watching it run down from inside of the trim and out into the floorboard, but all leak locations may be different. 90% or better chance that it is the windshield leaking or sunroof if you have one.

you are not going to be able to see a hairline crack in the windshield gasket material. I would bet that it is coming through the windshield unless you have a major rust issue going on somewhere.

Well, I am not sure what sealant to use other than RTV. If that still doesnt work, I would personally pull the headliner and A pillars to make sure that is where it is leaking from. If you want to see where about the leak is and you have an air hose hooked up to a compresser, take soapy water and rub it around on the outside of the seal. Take the air hose and spray it with air all around the windshield or where you think you may have a leak. The air will follow the leaks out and blow bubbles or atleast move it around so that you can see where the leaks are at. And, no, that is not my GTP being clocked. Good luck...
