Had a bearing noise getting progressively worse in the front end so I bought both hubs and planned on changing them yesterday. Started with drivers side first and it went very smooth. Turns out the cv axle and probably the hub on that side has been changed before. The axle on that side was threaded all the way to the end, unlike the pass side. Started on the pass side and it was a rusted up nasty mess. I hosed it down with pb blaster and went around it with a wire wheel air tool but no luck. The nut wasn't coming off. At that point it was 10 min. till the parts stores close and didn't feel like being stranded so I put it back together and called it a night. Guess I'll attemp this one a little earlier in the day next time. The end of the axle is so rusted and deformed that I think thats where the nut was getting hung up. Even the rotor is frozen on the hub. Good news is the driver side was the bad one. Guess they put a cheap one on when they did it.
