2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT w/Flowmaster 40 series mufflers - YouTube
These sound like **** in comparison to the muffler delete. Look at the end of the video of the muffler delete especially . The flowmasters sound like an empty raspy tin can while the delete sounds throaty lol, maybe im deaf
Just.
stop.
guy.
Weld on 2 extra mufflers so its entirely silent. Then hook up a quality sound system with the speakers hidden around the outside of the car. Then play an audio track of a good sounding V8 accelerating whenever you launch. Call it your electric cutout.
Ask yourself. What are your goals?
1. Get pulled over for excessive noise
2. Go faster
3. Get a different sound w/o being pulled over
4. Go fast w/o being noticed
Yea both of those sound like poop to each its own I guess. I would never delete my mufflers and sure as hell wouldn't run flowmasters on a Grand Prix
When I put the SLP catback system on my Impala, it sounded great without the resonator for a few weeks. But that constant drone on a 10 hour drive? Sucks balls. Just haven't gotten around to taking it to a shop to have them put a resonator on.
3800? good exhaust note? BIG CAM
I wouldn't trust the audio. I think my car sounds awesome when I video tape it and it is just stock exhaust. But you really don't notice anything about it while its idling or driving.
to the op, all i did to my car was cut the mufflers out and and weld in some 2 1/4 thrush glass packs,
results are:
5% of time spent at wot is not bad
95% when creepin under vacum, it drones so bad im thinkin of getting a factory cat back from the junkyard,
ill probly try a chambered muff first though
