Hey guys, I've been finally getting around to working on my car. So I decided I'd tackle my long cranking issue. Replaced the injectors, FPR, and fuel filter and it still persists, so I guess ill try a new fuel pump. I was told a long time ago by a mechanic that my pressure drops to 0 after you turn the car off, and that I had somewhat low pressure. So at work at my dealership, I can get an AC Delco replacement for 350$ with my employee discount. I was wondering what are the other options? There's this one at autozone for 100$ cheaper, but I want it to be reliable and not crap out on me. Run from Airtex.... It's playing russian roulette. Some have had luck with them but that is all it is... for every one person who has had luck I see probabaly 5 or 6 who have had nothing but problems (in my personal experiance). AC Delco is just a re-boxer anymore (Not genuine GM) so you don't know the actual manufacturer of the pump. Best bet its to find a Delphi. Delphi is the original OE manufaturer for GM on those particular pumps. NAPA carries them... should be around $300 to $350 walk in price depending on the market you are in.... Probabaly cheaper if purchased through your work's account. Just my two cents.

You can get the AC Delco #19180107 online at Rock Auto for $222.79. If you like the Airtex it's $166.79. I wouldn't have a problem with the Airtex but not at $250.00. BTW Delphi is $193.79.

I have used Airtex in my old Bonneville, and my work van (GMC Safari). Never had a problem with either one and the Safari has put on another 100,000 and is still going strong.

According to the airtex representative ive talked with when i worked at advance auto, they make ac delcos fuel pumps. Alot of ac delco parts are made by different manufacturers. For instance we used to get ngk and delco plugs with same markings all the time. I sold probably 10 fuel pumps a week for 3.5 years of those and only had a handful for warranty.

As far as warranty goes bosch has lifetime and i dont recall ever having to warranty one out. However because of the higher price tag i sold maybe 1 or 2 a week of those.
