Why would you need to change the alt bracket to run a different supercharger?

you only need to change the alt bracket if your installing a IC. on a 97 or 98 i think. gen V will fit if thats all your doing.

if you change it you will also need the alternator from the newer car.

no need to tho, it will fit.

    his quote.

    7) Alternator
Unfortunately, the alternator and its bracket can cause some issues when swapping this blower onto your L67. Generally, the 97-98 alternator and bracket will NOT work. The solution is to swap to a 99+ bracket and alternator.

    and his pic.

you tell me why the alt would be in the way? the dimensions are about the same. like i said earleir, you need to change it if you are adding a IC so the hoses can be run through the belts.

this thread, talks about that bracket, and has pics of why it needs to be changed, for a IC. thats a inter cooler in case your not sure. you'll see the pipes hit the bracket.

its the internet, its not 100% all the time, hell im even wrong sometimes, but this im pretty sure about.

im planning on this swap myself with another engine i want to build up some. so i ve looked up all this stuff myself already., and i have a 98, so if i get a ic ill be changing the bracket and alt. if my new engines not newer.

Yes.. same 12 LIM bolts. The only thing different on an L32 manifold from an L67 manifold is the size of the opening in the top.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
