I just tried to install the alternator rewire from zzp, i bolted it on the back of the alternator and the top of the fuse box with the negative battery cable disconnected. once installed and battery hooked up, i went to pop the trunk with the switch on the door. When i pushed it over you could hear everything play thru the speakers (doors unlock, lock, and pop truck). i went and tried to start it and the battery was dead, just the relays clicking. Then the fog lights were flashing, so i took the rewire kit off and had to jump the car to start it. The battery is pretty new and never gave any problems and hasnt since i took the re wire off. what could this be?

    thanks

Did you disconnect the battery before installing the kit? How many key cycles did you do after the install?

Yeah, thats kinda what I thought. But it was only touching the stud on the back of the alternator and the stud on top of the fuse box.

Sounds like a bad ground. Make sure your battery terminal and cable are clean and tight. Double check the engine and body grounds too.

Did you reconnect the original alt wire when you added this?
Did you look at the negative cable for corrosion?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
