Hey I own 02 GTP. Needs a fuel sending unit, because gas gauge perpetually stays on Full. I am not paying 200 dollars to get the GM part, whats a quality aftermarket fuel sending unit and where can I get it?

I just ordered the Dorman 911008 Fuel Level Sending Unit for my 01 GT, got it at Rock Auto for $18.88. Catalog is showing it fits an '02 GTP also. Will be installing it after Thanksgiving, have the same problem with the "perpetually full tank". From what I've read so far, there is an access panel in the trunk that gets you to the top of the fuel tank. Pull the fuel pump out and the sending unit attaches to the fuel pump. Fortunately they are separate...on my '01 Suburban, you have buy a new fuel pump if the sender is bad.
