only thing i can think of is the rear knock sensor.
Definately is. Reach up on the back of the ps pump and you should find the other end clipped to it. As long as the pump has never been off the engine. Otherwise..it'll be right in that same area where the green one and the one on the trans are in the wiring loom.
Thanks for the replies. I found this plug with another plug connected to it but the wires had been cut , I guess is time for a new knock sensor.
the knock sensor is just that, the wires clip onto it, so you need a new harness to the knock sensor.
if you can get the car in the air, look up between the oil and trans pan you can see the sensor in the side of the engine block. that way you can see if you have a plug on there now or not. maybe you can re solder the 2 ends together.
I will have to check as soon as my car is back from the body shop. Wouldnt I get a check engine light on if that wasn't plugged in? The only thing that I could think of is the car has been reading like 10* of kr which would be impossible since I supported the car with all mods in order to eliminate knock after I dropped to a 3.4 pulley.
i would think it would set a code if unhooked as well. the only way to know for sure is to look up at it and see if its got cut wires or nothing, or its hooked up correctly.
you got one on the front of the block as well. same placement.
This may be one of the codes that sets..and does not kick on the light.
Many codes are setup this way.
Not sure... You will find out though.
Also.. looking again, I think I answered too quick and Scotty nailed it. Looks like that is the harness side of the wiring and the sensor side pigtail is missing. Can't really remember though... it's early.
ok so I jacked up the car and the yes you guys where on target ,that connection goes to the rear knock sensor . The only problem that im having now is that the connector seen on the picture is hooked up to the rear know sensor where does the other end of the connection plug into?(it was stripped) Any help will be appreciated
