Ok so my car's wipers work all the time on high, and randomly on all the other settings. Most commonly in the early morning it will work on all settings for like 3 mins then doesn't and if i hit a bump does again for like 30 seconds? I'm thinking wiring?

    Could be a bad switch.

bad multi switch would be my guess. thats the arm with the controls on it, blinkers, cruise.

Why would you spend $300 at AutoZone when you can get a switch at a junkard for $5?

its under the plastic around the steering wheel, you need to take that off, with out breaking it, and then the plastic and metal shield under that, then un hook it from under the dash.

i took my wheel off last time i was in there to change the multi switch. made it easier to work on.

Not sure what year your talking about, but my 05 grand prix has the "whos got the crack syndrome"
Theyll work fine at anyspeed, then all off a sudden they crack out, get stuck, and will only work on the high speed setting. Give it a few minutes and itll be back to normal. Its not the arm for the turnsignal and such.

Ive read that the wiring harness connections under the cowl can get soaked in water and also the linkage cant get dirt and debris on it creating this problem. both with are free to fix if you have 5 min.. id check into it before anything else. Take the connector apart and see how the pins are, coat with some dielectric grease and try to seal it up better or hide it from rain water...
