Just finished rebuilding my engine from the timing chain up, and have drive it around since finishing that. Everything has been running great and actually even better than before hand. Last night we had a big rain storm and I drove my car through it without an issue. Rain stopped and at about 11:00 I drove home. Car ran like complete **** driving home, doesn't have any misfire codes or any codes at all but the engine sounds like its not running on all cylinders. Also checked out all my fluids and coolant looks good, oil looks good, and so does the transmission fluid. I don't see any fluids mixing which is what I was worried about. I'm lost now? Also for some reason my shifter selector came unattached at the transmission were it connects; not really an issue as I got that fixed but it was weird that it happened at the same time.

    Alright, quick update:

Just went out and pulled the plugs and every one of them looked fine, except one had fuel on it while the others did not. I honestly didn't get a chance to do more because its now pouring here. I did get a video buts its pretty crappy because the intake is so loud you can't exactly hear the engine running rough, if you look at the wiring in the front of the engine and what not you'll see everything visually move from how rough the engine is running.

(VIDEO IS VERY LOUD! You'll need the speakers turned up to hear the engine in the beginning. Sorry for the crappy volume of everything)

Well got a chance to dig more into the issue and found that the center plug on the front bank has fuel on it. I've started and stopped the car letting it run for 30 seconds to a minute or so and the same plug has fuel on it. So I switched the plugs around on the coil pack and still the same plug is covered with fuel. I believe my next step would be to change around the coil packs and see if that fixes the issue at all. I'll check back in when I get that done.

if switching the coil packs does not change a thing you might want to check the coil module.

Did you switch the plug around and see if my the plug is bad? Or switch the coil packs around and see if it follows the coil pack?

I switched the two plug wires going to the single coil pack and didn't see any change with the amount of fuel on that spark plug. I pulled the other two up front and they were dry. I will switch the coils tomorrow and see if that changes anything, then look into the ignition module.

Since our coils fire both bowers at the same time, you've diagnosed the plug wires. I have seen a bad ICM fire only one plug and not the other. This means that the ICM didn't fire the coil twice (once for each cylinder) but only once. If you need an ICM to try...holler.

Also check the connector at the icm. if it's loose...that'll cause some issues.

Well after stopping by Bills today and picking up an ICM putting it back together and starting my car and finding no change, I happened to peak into the front valve cover through the oil filler hole and you'll never guess what I found?! A broken LS6 90# spring . I've only had them on for less than two weeks and not even 100 miles. Thanks for the help everyone and a big shout out to Bill for being there for me.

Mike..there is a guy that found LS6's seem to break on the LS platform often enough that it's documented. He had one break after a while..but 100 miles. That sounds like just a bad spring.

Yeah I had no kind of warning that it was going to happen. Like I said before after installing the modified 1.9 rockers and LS6 springs my valve train was extremely quite compared to before. Even after the spring broke it was still quieter which is why I never even thought it would be something like this. I'm glad it was the front valve cover I had to pull off instead.

Back isn't so bad after you've done it a couple times. You wanan see easy.. Bonneville. There's literally nothing in the way of the front cover.
