OK I'm stuck at work all I know is that bolts missing and I can pivot the caliper off the rotor I hope there's no damage to the threads if there is what should I do buy a hole new kit from the w body store?
There's 3 different ones there?
When I click it it takes me to this page and there's 3 choices each a dollar more then the last

you lost the short bolt that holds the caliper on right?
the bottom and top bolt are the same, just take off the other bolt from the car and go to the store with it, match the new one, to the one you have.
thats the safe way to go about it.
Yeah ill do that its the bolt that holds the slide and caliper together. Hopefully the threads aren't messed up
Really? That link you posted didn't have slides it was just bolts
alright it makes more sense now
this is what it looks like on my car hopefully i can just screw a new bolt in and be good to go
haha i have no idea how this happened the F body brakes have been on my car for probably 3 weeks now, i heard the bolt fall out today when i hit a bump in the road, damn michigan roads
i dont think you had it as bad as me bro, my caliper to steering knuckle top bolt fell out, top of caliper fell down and wedged my wheel and locked it up,
i had just exited the highway and had almost came to a stop, about 20mph, all of a sudden wheels locked up and i screetched tires, car would not move.
i heard something bang under the car about a few miles back.
luckily caliper and knuckle were salvagable, rim was scratched up pretty good inside, but no real damage. it was a miracle it did not happen on the highway.
i had never even taken the brakes off, previous owner must not have tightened them down.
i got some red loctite and torqued them to manufacturers spec of 147 ft-lbs. none of the bolts have moved since ;-p
Well got the part and fixed it up thanks everyone
Hell yeah our roads are awful in Michigan and the sad thing is they said we saved so much money in salt last year that they were Gunna fix a lot.more of our roads......... Don't see that happenING
