    I want to purchase a GM diagnostic scanner to poke around and do some home diagnose/tweaks/repairs on my Pontiac G8.

    Yestoday I found the GM tech2 scanner at Uobd2,
    But not sure that, if this GM Tech2 can do Pontiac G8?? the information at UOBD2 not quite clearly...
    and I want a cheaper one, are there any other devicces like the tech2 that is more affordable?

    Any good hand held scanner will do.

    Most good ones will be around 150 bucks, most should be able to read trans codes, ABS codes and even show live data.

    i just want a code scanner to read trouble codes and erase, show live datai found US703 is suitable for american car, like GM, Ford, Chrysler etc.

    want to confirm if this US703 work well with my Pontiac G8, 2009
    any one got this US703 supported car list??

    Try OTTO SCAN if you have a PDA cheap. I use it all the time at work for small quick stuff, no need for MODiS most of the time.

    what is OTTO SCAN?

    i bought that MaxiScan us703

    i should get that GM Tech2

    any guidance to reset airbag without tool?

    If you have a Android phone I would take a look at the Torque App. I have it and for the money ($5 bucks for the app, $25 for the bluetooth obd2 scanner) its pretty damn sweet. It does WAY more then your standard Craftsman Obd2 style scanner. Shows you live information, data logging, KR, codes and so on.

    They constantly update it and are adding new features all the time.
    02 GT - HV3, 3800 Perf. Tuned, Plog, ER rockers, DP w/Magnaflow, CAI, 180* stat, Plugs/Wires, Poly Uppers, Driver mod.....

    where can get that $25 the bluetooth obd2 scanner?
