The 2004+ GP's hate aftermarket alarms, but that is just my opinion. My car does the same thing that yours is doing 2-3 times a month, never did it until after the alarm was installed.
Electrical systems hate crappy wiring jobs. Most installers use clip in pieces or they cut the coating and wrap the wire around on the outside. Both suck for connections. The way to do it is this.. take the coating off about an inch of the wire, use a pick to make a hole through the strands (not breaking them..just making a hole through) then put your wire that you are adding through the hole, crimp it back shut with needle nose pliers, solder it well and then tape it up.
That's how my install was done (by me) on my Regal. Never once had any issue.
yeah bill this is why i think i get the alarm message. ****ty wireing in the first place. hell when i got the fker i found a gps box but upon further reading its belongs in a squad car? terrible hack jobs were done. today is my friday bill so ill be soidering all night. well with my mad skills it will take longer to get to the wires un der the dash knee guard panel metal thingy lol
