1) Didn't you just say in the chatbox the other day you were going to bolt a cone filter to end of the MAF?
Do that...if you want name brand...just buy a big 9" K&N Cone filter...that's a massive waste of $300.
2) Agreed, my MSD wires were pretty stout and solid...just avoid their coil packs and stay stock there.
3) No. Get Autolite 605's...gap them at .050"...be done.
4) Yes they fit, no...don't use their gaskets...tell whoever is installing them to remove the factory metal gaskets...clean them, and re-use them.
5) MPS system's rock...I'd stay out of boost until you have a way to scan...
Which is why I would say...first things first...buy an Aeroforce Scan gauge to help monitor the car.
Looks good, other than wasting money I really like the K&N intake, you can make one just as good/better for much less, but looks are almost worth it. I would buy one if I wasn't cheap lol.
I would suggest looking into the SSAC Headers. just as cheap but I've heard they have less problems with the flex pipe, compared to the crappy one from Speed Daddy. Pontiac Performance Racing Products for International Sales from SSAutochrome Inc. Just something to consider.
Speedgrid...
You can get Spectre silicone adapters from your local Autozone, turn the adapter the other way and no one can see the stupid Spectre logo...and it looks like a super clean install...probably get both adapters/clamps/air filter for about $50 or so...
You can go google a company called "LOTEK" they make gauge pods...you can buy just a single pod for your A-Pillar for pretty cheap and just put the AF gauge up there...that way you can monitor KR and maybe something else important, like transmission temps...lol.
I also agree with the headers from SSAutoChrome...everyone I've heard of that bought them from SSAC vs. Speed Daddy on Ebay...hasn't had flex pipe issues.
Or you can buy ZZP's flex and have a shop weld it in, whatever you decide. I bought band clamps and copper RTV and mine still leak, hopefully I can fix it.
If I were you and you planned on going farther, skip the aeroforce and tune and buy a used HPT. Best thing ever. And JSYK I think that k&n piping is small, like 3" or 3.5" compared to 4" DIY or other Aftermarket kits. If I wasnt going to make my own Id get one of ZZP's intakes.
Here's my ebay intake - only paid $30.
