Every single place claimed to have HUD glass, and the 4 they got, none worked. What they have is glass that will fit. Not glass that will work right. If it is glass and you can't get it in Toledo, it's probably gonna be hard to find everywhere since we ARE the glass capital of the world.
Well then remind me to never break my windshield lol.
Random, but does anyone else turn their interior lights down/off at night and drive off the HUD only? I think it's frigging sweet, and always gets comments like, "wait, can you still see your speedometer?"
Lol
Toledo is king if you want Pilkington Made in Rossford float glass.
I can't live without hud. Best thing about my car. ....I'd even give up the s/c for it.....maybe.

I do when im by myself once and a while. Last time i pulled up to a friends house at night i had the dash lights off and one of my friends asked how i could see how fast i was going so I showed him. He was like wow thats awesome! and then proceded to yell to everyone else standing by the fire that you could see the speed on my windshield which led to about 15 or so high schoolers hanging in my windows and trying to see it from the front. lol. Kids these days, i tell ya.
Oh, I see. The tanker thing is an Army joke. To the OP how can I tell the difference between regular and "HUD" glass. My car has a fairly new windshield on it.
It should have the acronym "HUD" engraved/printed on it where ever the rest of the little writing is. Presumably drivers side bottom corner.
My previous windshield was replaced when I bought the car 7-8 months ago, and was a legit GM HUD window, that the dealership "just had sitting in stock".
