Thread: Connect to scanner?

Hi guys, I have a problem and I am stumped on it. I have a 1999 grand prix gt and when i connect an obdII scanner on it, it won't connect and I can not figure out why. It powers the scanner to turn on but then says connection error. I have tried many different scanners and all of them say error. I was told that they are on the same fuse as your lighter and that works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
