Hi Everyone, have a 98 GT and not getting any AC at all. Heat is cranking no matter where you set the dual climate control. Compressor is engaged and not short cycling and has a decent charge.

Where to start looking? The heat gets so hot it feels like it is going to melt things. Could this have something to do with a blend door??

    Thanks for any help.

I gotta think this is a problem in the dash, or with the a/c control unit itself... Either the unit isn't sending the right info from the controls, or the baffel that seperates hot and cold isn't working... Sadly, if i'm right about the baffel it means removing the dash... Ugh!

You could try switching from max hot to max cold and listening in the dash for the usual tone change from the vents... If it changes a little, but not all the way i'd guess mechanical in the vents... If you can't defeat the a/c compressor from cyling on any setting, it's possibly new head unit time...
