If it's rich..it'll smell rich.. as in extra burned fuel.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Bills right. I know the difference between what straight gas smells like compared to exhaust.. When my cutout is open when I start the car you can smell the un burnt fuel... Doesn't smell anywhere close to that of a gas leak.

Experience is your friend. If it smells like standard gasoline if you sniffed a gas can, then that's typically a gas leak. If it smells like funky exhaust when it's spewing out black..that's running rich smell.

Because say it's a pinhole in the fuel line and it pisses all over the engine until the pressure is gone. meanwhile when your driving there's enough ariflow to keep you from smelling it.

Just talking from experience...if you think you smell fuel...you should be checking for an issue. That fuel stuff burns way to good and too easily not to look for it. Think...about the car blowing up, then think how easy it is to lift the hood and look.

Orings are cold and not sealing until it's warmed up. But even when warm, they aren't fully sealing.

I remember when Intrigue98 got his gp... he cruised over to show me and said.. "I smell some gas at startup". We popped the hood to see it pissing a stream on to the engine. Aka ..the sparky thing.

It could be a million things. On an n/a with some miles though, I'd lean more toward the quick connect Orings.

L67 or L36 injectors IIRC are $5 each at local jy's. Ask GTPgirl03, she'd know the current price better than me.
