Got into collision and need to replace my core support it got pushed in bent my radiator and fans... need any information on replacing the support

link dont work ford...idk why but you cant get a straight link from rockauto

Ill add pictures it pushed my fans almost against the headers id that gives any idea

yeah ones listed for 73 and the other is 94. not bad price wise. or get one from the jy.

every year 97-03 will be the same one.

That's not an easy piece to replace. I think you need to ensure the frame/body is straight when you weld the new one in.

under the hood X measurements to get an idea if the body is tweaked and also check door gaps and look for buckles in the body this is a uni body car so the force of impact can travel through the car

its not bent to bad i think for the most part the hood latch assembly pushed my radiator back

Wrap a chain around it and use a tree to pull it out? You laugh, but I've seen it done. Maybe give CRC Auto Body down on Hwy79 a call and see what they'd charge.

Let me guess, you ran it into one of those rusted out Dodge trucks running around Troy, lol... Heck, some of the cars I see out here in Old Monroe where I live I'm surprised they are even running the way they are wrecked.

the passenger fender-support brace bent out alittle. otherwise, doesnt look too bad.

i see your support braces are bent for this fix to get the body to straightened out you will probably need a frame rack if you want your car to go back to pre-accident condition. for the rad support you will need to remove everything from the front of the engine fans, rad, support braces, engine mounts, bumper, fenders would be a good idea to take off to and every think in the front. Then you would get a drill with a mandrill bit this is designed to cut out your spot welds (do this after you have tried straightening this one) drill out your old spot welds (don't drill through both layers of metal you only need to drill through the rad support) and remove the rad support. Once you get your new rad support you wanna drill out holes in the same area as you drilled them out on the old spot welds (factory spot weld area) paint the rad support to match your car after you fit it in. Weld plug weld to the car and rad support using a MIG/GMAW after grinding the area down to bare metal (weld through primer might be good to use as well to avoid rust). Then grind down your welds to make them flush spray a primer or sealer over the spot welds after grinding and spray your color (you can also paint the rad support after its installed). You may need to use seam sealer in certain areas also. See how far you get with this and keep us updated on your repair. I will be more then happy to help you the best I can.

but what i said is only really if you have to replace the rad support it doesn't look to bad i think you can straighten it. i know you could definitely straighten it if you had a frame rack
