I just put new plugs and wires on my car, (1997 grand prix gtp), The check engine light isnt on, but the service engine soon light is on and solid. Any suggestions? The other day I drove it, it was missing horribly and went WOT, check engine light came on and started flashing so I coasted home. So replaced plugs and wires, (went with Autolite 104, which is two heat ranges cooler), I also have a 3.5" pully. Any suggestions would be great guys. Don't wanna blow up my car.

I would get your car scanned soon. That should give you a better idea of whats going on. Let us know what codes you get and maybe we can help.

If you didn't change one wire at a time, likely you have a couple crossed. No worries..just fix them.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Just on lunch break. Anyway, the wires are on correct, I know the cylinder numbers and made sure to map it out before changing the plugs. On that, yes, the only mods are 3.5" pulley and open come intake filter now with two heat degrees colder plugs and new wires. Like I said, the car isn't missing. Just the light is on, so I'm going to advance later and I'll get the code and post them up.

Ok guys. Got the code. I believe it was a P303, showed as cylinder three misfire. So, got them to clear the code and the light hasn't came back on yet, even after some throttle.
