My girlfriend purchased a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SE and it is missing the rear license plate bolts / screws. What size bolts / screws are these? I've searched this Forum as well as done searches via Google and Rock Auto but came up with zilch information on such a basic part. Just trying to make one trip to the hardware store instead of many.

Most places should have a pack of them. I can't remember off top of my head, but the hardware I work at has packs and individuals in drawers. Worse comes to worse, drive the car there and grab a couple sizes, they should let you walk out with them to try.

I figure that is what will happen in the end. I was just hoping for the "quick fix".

    Thanks,

If it helps any, your probably looking for a 1/4" or so, maybe a tick larger.
Look for stainless steel if you don't want them getting rusty. We sell plastic ones too, but I always get SS.

It turns out that the fastener is a #12 machine screw with a 24 thread pitch (#12-24). I had a hard time finding a walk-in store that carried #12 machine screws but it all worked out in the end.

Thank you to everybody who chipped in on this thread.
