What is the part number for the transmission cooler line to the radiator? I was told mine was leaking. I want the replacement genuine GM product. I don't want it patched as they said they can do that. Anything else I should replace that is related to that? Any other hoses?

What year is your car? The lines changed based on year. The 98 lines are different from the 99+ lines (different fittings at the trans).

2000 are those still te right numbers?
Do I need any other parts?

Looks like it. Just looked them up on Rock Auto and input a 2000 GT and those are the AC Delco part#s. The 05 number looks to the the upper line on the rad, and the 06 the lower. Just take a look at the pics on Rock Auto's website to be sure you are getting the right one.
And no, you shouldn't need anything else except a quart or 2 of trans fluid as you will loose some when you remove the lines.

If you want GM stuff, take your vin to a dealer and ask them how much. I have bought lines from the dealer because they tend to be cheap.

did you get a quote on how long it will take to change.. I looked at mine and al though it doesn't seem to be leaking.. the lines looked as though they may have been seaping. wet look.
Just curious.. I'm like you.. Gm Genuine parts only.

A pick, a 13mm wrench and a 16mm wrench plus a bucket to catch fluid is all it takes to do the lines. The are quite easy. If you want to make it super easy..add in a 10mm socket to pull off the passengerside fan.

My mechanic want $100.00 for labor to replace both lines.
He is suggesting to just cut the leaking section out and add patch hose with hose clamps.. what do you guys think? Id rather just replce them

Is your mechanic going to foot the bill when one of those hoses blow off and empty your trans, thus burning it up? I doubt it. For ~$50 worth of lines I'd say its cheaper to do this right and call it done.
This really is easy to do with basic tools as Bill stated. I see no need to pay someone to hack up the lines just to go back later and spend more to fix it properly. With 2 new lines and some trans fluid to replace what you lost I'd still be under $100 total.

I'd take a look at the current setup. Some of the Regals/GP's had one hose that was two pieces. Key thing is to flare the end of the tube if you are going to use hose.

Old thread being brought back from the dead. the numbers are correct. Upper line is "dealer only". Found them on amazon for 35 bucks each and verified that they work on an 02 GTP lol
