Alright guys, Im looking at a 98 GTP and was wondering....

Is there a relay or something that also needs to be added when one ad's a heated seat to the car? A good buddy of mine swapped in a heated seat, but it doesnt work. Its a factory heated GP seat. So wonder if there is a relay, or fuse somewhere that needs to also be added?

Im not sure. Ill find out more when I go to look at it this week. What all is required? I would assume there is a switch, etc... Sorry, I promise Im not ignorant, nor is he, he is a very solid mechanic/diy guy. Im just not familiar with what all would be needed, or where the switch even goes.

U can run a switch anywhere u want. Factory puts it in the little coin slot thingy in front of the shifter. U don't have to run a switch, but then u would have to run it to where it gets a constant 12v that is remotely powered.

Take a look at my thread in the how to section on heated seats. There's a how to add and how to fix. You'll want to ensure the switch is sending the module (cool GM talk for relay) the turn on signal and that the relay/module clicks and that it's getting power. Likely you'll find your issue there and won't have to go in to resolder the element.

Anytime.. I love telling people to search on my name. It's almost as funny as giving them my Photobucket login.
