Well many of you know the many issues ive had with this 97 grand prix that ive owned for a very short time. I am about ready to get something else. Although now it is running fairly decent again. I still havent been able to get the crankshaft sensor replaced(one guy tried but the harmonic balancer was on so tight he couldnt get it off, so im gonna have to wait for someone with a torque wench). Anyway now one of the issues ive discussed has decided to rear its ugly head even more. So now im forced to fix it because im not in position quite yet for the other car. I was getting this tearing noise when i was pulling into parking or turning from a stop. Most of you guys quickly suggested it was in need of replacement wheel hub assembly. This in itself is not terribly expensive however are there other issues i should be aware of like the cv joints? Had noticed when i had wheels off that the lower control arm bushings were totally wore out so if i kept that car this was gonna have to be done too. Im quite sure every bushing(like in the sway bars) are totally worn. But right now i need to fix only the most urgent. The tearing noise is getting loud and used to be when turning wheel one direction but now makes noise in either direction. Im still undecided about what im eventually gonna do with this car, it could still make a good backup vehicle.
