I was going to buy the mounts from the W body store because they claim they are the only ones you do not have to shim up with washers but they are so danged expensive does anyone know if this is true and is the shimming that bad to do, also the motor mount is shot I know this I have not even looked at the tranny mount but was going to order it just because the motor mount is shot and both mounts have over 300,000 miles on them or should I just leave trans mount until I check it?

What brands did you use or recommend?
Was going to follow BillBoosts how to to change them
    Thanks a lot

Rockauto usually has some good deals on mounts. If you are just lookin for a good stock replacement get the stock hydraulic mounts. I'd do the trans mount too just because there's 300k miles on it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too on the trans mount but do you know about that whole having to shim it up deal with the motor mounts?

Thats if your lowered or have a poly mount that requires shimming because it is shorter.

Buy OEM mount, if you want stiffness buy a oem mount and inject it with a urethane

if your motor mount dont look like this its not shot enough lol

my whole engine was moving like 3 inches both ways, lots of slop, do the trans mount while you are at it, its easier to change than the motor mount.

heres the rest of it lol it took like 4 hands fulls to dig it all out of where the mount lives.
