First, What brand is best for the price? I have heard timken and moog are good.

Second, Belltire told me I have a bad wheel bearing... they wanted like 300 some bucks to fix it so i said screw that! It isn't making any noise at all so how do they even know it needs to be replaced?

    movement.

jack up the car and grab at 12 and 6 and shake, if you feel movement, then its a bad wheel bearing.

id go with a timkin bearing.

replacing them is not too hard, normal hand tools and big socket for the axel nut are needed as well as a torque wrench.

What makes the Moog that much better?? The fact that Advance Auto carries them instead of Timken??

Timken Bearings @ Rockauto.com is your best bet.

    97+ are sealed units.

I don't know enough about the previous gens and you didn't specify what year you were asking about.

I put Timkens on my regal, about $100 each, they gotta be better than the $40 no name ones that everybody in the reviews were replacing every 6 months.

Timkin and Moog are both good and have a loyal following. Timkin has 1 year warranty; Moog has 3 year. Moog I heard is made in both China and USA.
