I felt like a walk in the junk yard this weekend just to poke around. I really didn't have anything in particular I was looking for, just something to strike me.

So after a little walk I found a nice set of set belt loops and picked them up for $11.00 - like new. Since my daughter is 5'0" this is like winning the lottery - well not exactly - but close.

My question is about the two holes that are supposed to be drilled into these. What exactly am I attaching them into? I have them on the headrests and now I would like to attach them but I don't really feel anything in the headrest that seems like I could drill into it. Enlighten me oh wise ones.

I believe they came out of a GT (can't remember) so they were held on by spring clips to the headrest. But they appear to be exactly them same and I do have them on the seats successfully. But the clips wont slide on the headrest posts because the design is slightly different. So I imagine that this is the reason for the two holes that are supposed to be drilled.

anyway, even if I dont screw them in they work fine the way they are because the headrests are all the way down. However, I would like to make them firmer.

I put a set on my car and didn't secure them in any way. They never posed a problem to me.

Can you post a picture of the clip and holes you are talking about? I'm not sure what you mean.

well from what I gather you are supposed to drill two holes in the strap area between the headrest posts. I am sure this is to secure them to the headrest.

I have them just sandwiched between the headrest and the top of the seat as you do right now. It would just be nicer if they were fully secured so there is no possibility of rattle, which I can't stand. I guess that is because I have an hour and 10 minute commute one way wach day to work. So rattles in vehicles really annoy me.
