Car keeps popping injector fuse the second u turn the key and wont start,
I checked harness for continuity then disconected from all injectors and fuse still pops...
I dont know if any other components are on that circuit and I was wondering if anyone knows of has diagram for it??????
if it is not some other component I figure I got a skinned wire somewhere but worth checking other components first??
appreciate any advice - money is tight so didnt want to go to alldata,

Work just ratcheted down on photobucket yesterday....I'm cryin here. I'm honestly crying.
It's in my photobucket Billboost37 under helpful pictures, either regal or GP. It's the same for both.
But there's nothing on the circuit. It's power from the fusebox direct (you can check with key on.) and then the pcm pulses the injectors. It won't pulse if it doesn't see the ICM pulse though.

Icm pulse? From computer?
i swapped new comp in so is it safe to think it is not that and just a skinned wire somewhere?

There really is no diagram, the injector wires go straight to the fuse box, and the signal wires go straight to the pcm, they do not have any inbetween connectors or junctions.

Which is why...last night I said to find the fuse labeled FI.
Add check for power with key on at injector connector.

Can signal wire blow fuse? Or is power wire that only does that?

Its popping fuse on Key on before you even crank the engine, so I got nothing!
what should I check next?

Unplug the injectors, and see if it is still blowing a fuse.
If so, one of the 6 pink power wires are causing you an issue.

I did unplug and still pop fuse.. I cant find thebad wire unless it is tuccked under dogbone area above radiator

im gonna get some more time tomorrow morning to look and untuck the entire thing from injector to fuse box - it better be there or im at a loss

Thought the other night you said Regal. But pretty sure this is on the GP. Either way the diagram should be about the same. This is an 00GP schematic

Just an update................... Ed did what was suggested to him about a month ago, and now his car is fixed...................

No u make it sound like it was a simple fix I ignored lol and honestly I was thinking more of swaping than fixing.. But anyway it seems to be running now

Right..
IC pump and some other things are a wiring nightmare on the car. IC pump or something went bad and took out a lot more than just the one item.
Improperly fused electrical nightmares should be fixed asap when you are aware of them. That way you find the issues, fix them and know how things are done afterwards.
The IC pump should only have gotten a signal for a relay from the FI circuit. Nothing more. Therefore if the IC pump was bad, it should have blown it's own fuse..not the fi fuse.

LOL, it was a simple fix, you keep blowing the same fuse, you check the wiring for that circuit. The wiring for the circuit includes everything from the fuse panel to the ground.Originally Posted by TeacherCreature
