    All,
Hi my name is Joe and I've owned my '97 GTP since it was brand new! I love the car but have the following recent issues and could use your advice:

    1) Inside fan directional control (Windshield defroster, middle, middle & lower etc.) doesn't seem to work any longer - I can't control it. It seems to always send air to all registers all the time - no real effect when I switch it to other settings. What should I do?

    2) Fan speed setting '1' hasn't worked for years.

Will replacing the knobs and panel fix these issues? Or is there something else I need to correct?

    Thanks for your help!
    Joe

    1) check for a vacuum leak too the heater controls, small line likes to break by the battery..

    2) probably the blower motor resistor.

    1) Thank you - I will check for breaks in the line near the battery.

    2) Where do I check the resister for the blower motor?

Its right by the blower motor up against the fire wall, make sure you have power to the resistor in every position and if you do its the resistor, if you dont have power to it on setting 1 its probably the switch.

    Another question for you -

How do I remove the switch if I need to? Is it straight forward? I never removed them on this car.
