What should the compression be? My dad had a gauge to test. I could just compare mine to the factory spec and that should be ballpark

180 would be nice.
above 100 psi is "acceptable".
4 th in your vid the car seems to short shift a bit, where brandons seems to really have the grunt sound of digging into the trans harder, and shifting a bit later.
the way brandons sounds is why i like GM cars better than ford or Chrysler, they seem to just drive when going wot,(they lack a good kick down it seems to me) where a GM cars have that digging into the trans grunt that you can feel.
brandon, are you running a open cone? your sc sounds a lot louder than 4 th's.
i know exactly what you mean, my grandparents really like chrysler and the kick downs suck. they kinda hesitate for the kick downs as well. you floor it and it goes "oop! wait a seconddddd, hold itttt, OKAY GOOO....sort of"
but yeah, this is my intake setup. sounds good doesn't it

Hm, yeah I see the laggy reverse, but it isn't THAT bad. And it's not slipping in WOT, it's just slow, so deal with it for now. And you talk too much, stfu and put it in gear already lol.
But yeah, unless you're planning on going WOT the whole way to kcgp, stfu. I expect to see you then. That is all
If I get into throttle more it gets worse..I just don't wanna break anything cuz I can't imagine it being good for the trans lol. And i belive it's is somewhat slipping thus causing it not to be as fast....this sleeve or whatever bleeds of pressure...so if it bleeds of pressure then it's basically not fully engaging and it's not going to be as fast. At least that's how I understand it.

you know your tach bounces when the cars off right?
Ya it does it sometimes..doesn't others. I haven't had a problem since I changed the crank sensor so what ev.
I've watched all those videos of all those slow stock cars like 90 times.
Austin...seriously looks normal to me...I think a tune and a shift kit will change it all around.
I don't see this 4 second delay in the shift Matt is talking about...looks like it is just shifting without Performance Shift on even though it is engaged...that's all.
More the reason you have to suck it up and come to kcgp, Austin!
I think Matt means 4 seconds from the shift till the end of the pull..or something like that.
And Nick i'm tellin you...second gear just sucks. I've driven a few other GTP's and they ALL have a much firmer, quicker shift and pull better once in second gear.
I'm tellin' ya...converter could be goin' out...transmission could just be getting old...but it is SHIFTING fine is what I'm getting at. If it is doggy in the middle of the gear, what would the transmission have to do with that since it has already shifted? I told ya too...the '97-'98 intake is way more restrictive...and the '03's have Performance shift tabled into the PCM via throttle response...and it always seemed that my '03 shifted better/faster than my buddy who had a '98 with Perf. Shift...I would always nose out on him even when I was stock and he had a intake/u-bend delete.
Get your headers on and get a tune.
And a shift kit.
It'll fix it.
i think blues on to the answer here. and your trans does seem to not be on perf shift, as it short shifts a little bit.
my 98 regal shifts at 5800 to or a little more, if i hold it to the floor in drive. mines old and tired. i like to pedal shift it closer to 5500, i hate a screaming engine thats not going anywhere
