I read a post about a clogged cat. Is there a way to check?

    Misfires are usually spark related.

Your cat can get clogged. If you search, there are quite a few threads on that.

Pull the upstream O2 out and put a pressure gauge in it and see if it has any pressure. Shouldn't have more than 1-2 psi

Just pull the up stream 02 and go for a drive and see if the miss goes away.
