That's what its called I guess. Its next to the oil filter. Anyways it seemed to have been bad cuz it was draining oil out of it, the front not the threaded part. Is this common for those? Anyways, $14 part and easy fix, now just gotta keep an eye on it for awhile and make sure it doesn't leak again or if I have any other leaks besides that one.

all 3 times it cost me a oil change, they blew out on the highway, and i didnt know it till i saw smoke out the back, and de greasing the whole under side of my car too.

they seem to like to drip/pour on the axle and sling oil all over the place.

they really should make a better sensor.

the first time it leaked all over the ground and i only had the car for a week, so i really freaked out. i had no idea what was leaking till i got it in the air and really got a good look at it.

the way i was checking mine was turn the wheels to the left and look behind the back of the pass side wheel at the sensor while its running. a mag light (big flash light) helps to see better as well.

Yeah, pretty easy to diagnose. And makes a huge mess on the undercarriage. Went thru 3 big cans of brake clean and still a mess. Waiting for a big rain so it might flush it out a bit. Lol

i used a whole can of gunk foamy engine cleaner, that chits the chit!

redid the whole engine and under side of the car. 3 times.

rain wont help, lol but it will keep your undercarriage from rusting if the oil is left there lol

i was really glad i did clean it up when i was doing my rack and pinion though. i was working on it with my feet under the back seat it seemed, and my head under the rack, no fun at all. im a lank at 6'6.

Tyipcally they will only seep/slowly leak. Which gives you a chance to swap them out.

Scotty...what brand should we be staying away from?

no cel, the low oil light comes on when you have under 5 psi of oil pressure, by then its to late and your engine is dead already.

If you unplug the sensor, it doesn't read low pressure and therefore no light. It's a bit backwards from what you'd expect.

    Install pressure gauge.
    Impress girls.
    ????
    Profit.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
