Well I just got this car and took me some research to figure out how to do this mod and i figured i would make a write up for anyone else that was in my position. It is extremely easy and took me about 5 minutes. I would highly recommend disconnecting the battery.

    1. The first step was making or buying a new wire. You can order it online, buy a pre-made battery connector from autozone, or make your own... like i did

    2. Next, you want to remove the engine cover buy unscrewing the Oil cap and the thing its screwed into.

    3. Locate the fusebox and lift the red + tab up and you will see a post and a bolt. Loosen the bolt

    4. To the right of the alternator their is a little rubber boot. Use a Wrench and socket to loosen the bolt.

    5. Leaving all the stock wiring in place, connect your new power wire to each terminal, making sure the wire is out of harms way.

    6. Tighten everything down and put the boot, red cover, and engine cover back on and you are done. I cut the red plastic cover on the fuse box to make it snap into place

I've had one of these for a while but, I believe this should have a fusible link like the stock setup has. This has me a little worried about having one without an inline fuse.

ive had mine on for over 2 years now, no issue. that with the alternator booster and my better grounding wires, my headlights dont dim anymore when you roll down the windows and whatnot. they are very good cheap mods to do. i used #2 amp wire because i had it left over from my old sub/amp set up.

    Where exactly is the fuse?

Does not the wire go from the alt to the fuse box?

The stock wiring has a fusible link (not a fuse) down along the front of the engine. I agree with IndeedSS, and have posted about it before. Running this with the original line still connected is not the safest approach either.

For the instruction, if it is not pictured you should have the battery disconnected.
