So I have been looking to get a obd to usb cable i found a bunch of them on ebay pretty cheap but none of them say they work on GPs but when i google it from what i have read any gm car 1996+ uses obd2 so dose that mean any obd2 cord will work i see there are lot of diffrent kinds like EML327 i really dont wanna buy the wrong cord so any help would be great

here are a couple different ones i was looking at the one says its for audi and vw but there both 16 pin obd2

anyways can someone shed some light and let me know what kind will work thanks

that one looks like it'll work but remember you get what you pay for, all those exra cars they list you have to pay extra for the software, thats basicly a unversal code reader with some pids

can systems are on newer cars, its the way all the control modules talk to get other and monitors the cars inputs and outputs, the vw and audi is because there german and there let systems are differnet then others and the scan tool ppl wants to let you know that there software will work on there systems
