You ever ate some really nasty mexican food...then in about 30 minutes you were taking a massive dumpfest...Yeah...sounds like that.
If you take just the Mufflers off, it'll sound okay. It'll be loud, but I like the way they sound.
Upper RPM's won't sound as good as lower/idle sounds.
yes unfortunately the V6's dont sound to good with the pipes. That and you will prolly loose torque doing that due to less back pressure
All these haters. Dual straight pipes routed through the hood tractor pull style sound best. Be a Man Chuck- do it.
You would have at least a grand in a true dual set up.
They arent true duals........... you have a single pipe to the y.
Not to mention if you go true dual having the O2 wont do much as it will only be reading half the Volume its supposed to.
Backpressure is a dumb myth...and you won't lose any TQ...your moving the powerband higher.
Agreed. Ask Ron Vogel about the 2" Custom Primaries with the downpipes going under the motor instead of over the bell housing.
LOLz @ $400 exhaust that does nothing for performance...
Pics for sure on top of that.
You should make some longtubes while youre at it.
you will loose lots of hp with your muffler man special, but if thats what you want to do then do it, its ur money not ours, order you a cat back exhaust for arounf 500 and be done with it.
Thats interesting.
However on the making it slightly richer I would think it depends. On everything Ive seen from engine out emissions usually we have one bank running slightly rich and one running slightly lean. It would be luck of the draw which side you tapped into.
It's a space issue. That's like comparing putting a dining room table in your backyard or your bathroom.I haven't done it to my GP... I did it to my silverado. I had 3" duals with glass packs done on it for $300. So i assume that 2"-2.5" won't be much more.
