2006 Grand Prix 3.8
Reduced engine power notification appears in my display center, engine power definitely reduces, A/C blower slows down, car is sluggish and won't get up and go. This happens after I've been running a few minutes fairly consistently. Took my car by Autozone to have them hookup their code reader to tell me the codes. P2138 and P1125 are returned. I've read the descriptions and looked on the internet for information about these. I'm still not 100% sure where to start. Took the pedal assembly off. Based on what I've read the APP sensor is on the pedal assembly ? Was thinking it sounds like I need to replace that sensor. Looked at the wiring harness under the hood and really didn't see anywhere water is getting in. Did not do a hose test yet. Any help you guys could provide would be beneficial. Don't won't to spend a lot of money on this right now if I can keep from it. Saw the note from GM as well --> #07-06-04-019: Intermittent MIL/SES, DTC P2138 with Reduced Engine Power (Repair Instrument Panel (IP) to Body Harness Connector) - (Jun 21, 2007). Not sure where this harness is located. hhhheeeEEELLPP !!
