Have you pulled the plugs? When you say valve float, you're worrying me here....you could have slapped a piston with a valve.

well engine has some metal shavings in the pan and we cant turn it over so looks like a new motor. my shift points were at 6k were tearin it down now to see what the promblem is.... i might just get rid of all my modds. its getting to be to much with just buying the slps headers, hptuners pro, and the laptop...not sure if i can do this anymore thanks guys for all the help.
well looks like i spun number one! how nice oh well i think im going to put in new rings and bearings in now. not sure if i should just get a shortblock or crank and new rod.
Hmmm...so the ballancer was ok? Any way lol you should definetly do a compleate rebuild on it. New cam,Crank and rod bearings. Line hone it before you put a new crank in it for sure. And also hone the cylinders with a torque plate and put new rings on the pistons. shoot may as well buy a forged rebuild kit. You already have a short block so why would you buy a new or used one? just rebuild the one you have. Just my .02
well the balancer im not sure on it looks like it wobbles when it runs when i put a new one on the car wouldnt even start!.... i think the whole timing to be out was caused by the knock sensors picking up the noise from the spun bearing and thinking it was kr. what is line honing? i planned on having the cylinder walls done with new rings and bearings. as far as forged internals....im only n/a right now so that might be a bit over kill. i didnt look like any coolant in the oil but i kno some got in it before we started it up but we changed it out soon after. couldnt dirt cause a bearing to be spun?
yep. a grain of sand can do wonders
what is line honing? Line honing is when the make sure the mains (where the crank bearings are at) are perfectly straight. Then they put new bearings in. wether they have to be oversized or not just depends.
didnt realize you were running N/A so yeah forged would be over kill.
