If I suspect I have a tank of bad 93, how many bottles of octane booster would I have to use to make a difference?

Oh boy.
Well, here's the thing. If you go into a store and buy a bottle of octane booster and it says "will raise octane by 7 point" it doesnt mean you go from 93 octane to 100, it means you go from 93 octane to 93.7 and thats on average.
I think you would be much better off buying you a gallon of Toulene (the main octane booster ingredient) and dumping that in. It probably would be cheaper in the long run too.
Where do you buy Toulene and how much for a gallon? I might just wait and burn this tank out on the trip home.
You can get it at most hardware stores that sell painting supplies. Xylene is another one that you can use as well but I think Toulene is a bit better. It will probably cost you about $10 - 15 for a gallon of it though. Dont forget about Torco either.
put some sugar, metal tacks, and some goobstopers in it also makes u gain 40 HP!! lol jk jk wow stupid people in this world might actually try such a thing..... lol
There is an octane booster at Autozone that claims to raise octane a full 6 points or the equivalent of 60 points on the same scale as other boosters. I can't remember the brand now, but it was on the top shelf... I think toluene will work better anyways and probably cost about the same as 1-2 bottles of this stuff.
No worries. I just burned the whole tank away already and filled up with 91 from a trusted station. I was practically empty.
We'll see if it helps.
Sherman william Toulene $13.85 gallon.. Last time i bought Xylene at home depot was like $18...
?
