Hey peeps.I kinda made a mistake with my exhaust setup so far mainly im talking bout is that flange that bolts the downpipe to catback is gone cuz im running a 2.5in straight pipe from cat delete to glasspack. Lately i been looking at SD headers and may end up getting those but my question is would it be ok to have an exhaust shop cut part of my "half a$$ed" downpipe and let them weld up the header downpipe or is there another way around that?and i also hear that SD headers if welding, require a special kind of weld like a TIG or something?any help/ideas.

No, just some 6013, but it will rust. But you could go out and get some 304l or 308l rods that are made for stainless.

Nope they can just mig weld it, but the weld will rust. So get come header paint to spray over the weld.

I seen a pic of ur pacesetters matt lol pretty rusty. But where could i get header paint?never heard that before. And more then likely i will have to have them install it because the way my downpipe is they have to cut and i dont have a cutter .i should have did it the right way dammit.

or perhaps my buddy's 305 which flaked off in a month.

Somehow the PO of my pace****ters coated them in something which i could not for the life of me get to peel/flake.
