Hi, I was just reading on zzp's web site and they have an article saying that Msd coils/wires are a bad idea and even a downgrade on the ignition system in regards to the 3800 engine. Also that they performed poorly on high hp builds.

Question is any truth to this? Or do they want to sell zzp wires?

    Thanks.

If your looking for wires get AC Delco wires, aka stock replacements. You can find them on rockauto.com for around 30 shipped. Or look at a set of wires at your local auto parts store for about the same price with a lifetime warranty.

the coils are junk. the wires just look pretty.

both are pretty well a waste of money.

The coils do give our cars problems. Most guys notice it at high rpms, say after having them for 6 months to a year.

ZZP wires have more misfire issues and problems than a piece of uncoated copper would have on our engines.

If you want to know which products are poor or a waste of your money, the two above are probably at the top of the list along with Bosch plugs.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
