LOL.......no offense, but ever since your issue with your car, this has been your answer on every thread for every problem. I just saw that you had posted and thought to myself, " self, what do you want to bet that he mentions checking the ground wires" I am glad it helped you and I know you are just trying to help, I just found it funny.....sorry I couldnt resist. But, it could be the ground as is with almost any electrical problem..........you never know.

    Oh, happy, happy, joy, joy.

Broken wires in the drivers side door due to window chafing or constant flexing in the door pivot boot.

Pull the door panel off the Drivers side and get at the wiring harness. I would check the wires that go up to the door lock mech first. Could be broken wires or a loose connector, but I would look around and see if the window movement has chafed insulation off, causing a short/break. If that looks alright, I would sigh deeply, curse a little, and pull whole door harness into door thru the rubber boot at the door pivot. There is plug(s) under the kick panel. It's common on any car for the large bundle of wires inside that boot to start breaking after being flexed for a decade or so. Sounds stupid to say, but it doesn't have to be a Shorted wire. A broken one will cause it too.

My '94 Camry used to Lock, Unlock itself a few times, then roll it's windows down. Not fun in the middle of winter :-P.

LMAO, very true. I just figured if someone as experienced and masterful in auto repair as me to overlook such a thing, anyone could. >_> <_<

Update, at first I thought that I was hitting the FOB, but I checked that and no it is not the FOB. Would the Body Control Module be doing it, and if so how could I check that?

a short in the wiring in lots of places could do it......yes I believe the BCM could do it......but I have no idea how you can check intermittent opens/or shorts in the system without getting lucky. Did this start out few and far between and then just happen more and more often?

Hello, I too have a 1999 Grand Prix GT and it has started to unlock itself randomly. Both doors will unlock and the interior lights come on. I have found that by hitting lock once on key FOB. Lights will stay off. when Care not running. Though when car is running and driving relay continues to unlock doors. Has anyone found resolved this issue. I have pulled fuse for door locks stopping actuators from burning up up. Though relay still engaing.

It still sounds to me like a wiring short and when you are driving(hitting small bumps in the road) they short together or open/close connections.....That is why I would guess that it is wiring somewhere, but it is just a guess.

I got the same thing now see my post.

It does seem to do it (lock/unlock) more when driving over bumps.
