I have had a problem with starting my 2000 GP 3800 for a while now. It doesn't matter if its the first start in the morning or after its been warmed up. It will kick over but die immediately unless I keep my foot on the gas.
Today I changed the fuel pump relay, fuel filter, cleaned the MAF sensor and removed the throttle body to clean it up.
Its starting now but I'm not sure I have really taken care of the problem. (time will tell).
Can any one think of any thing I might have missed?
While I had the throttle body off I looked into the upper intake and could see a lot of carbon build up. I would have expected to see carbon but the build up seemed kind of heavy and it was moist. Can this indicate some sort of problem?
