Ok so just found out I need a water pump. I see that reman is super cheap, under $50. Yet the mechanic wants $230 to put it on.

Is it a difficult task? He told me it's 1.5 hours labor. He's never ripped me off before but do ya'll know if it takes that long? Difficult?

It's relatively easy on our cars. IMO 1.5 is a generous amount of labor from the guide.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Two mechanics here have told me the labor is like 1.5. Maybe my eldest son can replace it for me. For now, it will stay malfunctioning. It doesn't start getting hot for like 2 months after I put water in it, so for now, it won't be replaced, unless I find a friend that can do it for me <sigh> I hate not knowing anybody down here. LOL

I did and sent you a reply as well.
You were explaining the replacement for the water pump on the phone and I should have written it down. Can you send me that too? LOL I wanna show my sons how easy it is so THEY can do it. LOL That's what boys are for
